    That's about how I was. After they shoot the laser in your eye you can see smoke coming off of it. Totally neat. Completely worth the $4k I spent on it. The healing process is a little rough but tolerable.

    I did that back in 99. Traded close up vision for distance. Now need distance glasses, too, but can still see a lot better without glasses than I could before lasik.

    Near vision has to do with how flexible your lens is. As you get older, less flexible. Even if you can see great distance, lens can't flex enough to see close up.

    I was about to cuss them out because this is the first time I let someone besides Oakley make the lenses. Still not totally impressed with them. Going to give them a couple of days to see if he's right about my astigmatism changing causing it and it will fix itself.
