best mud terrain tire

in your opinion what is the best mud terrain tire?

 

Well ... searching these forums before a post is a great way to start as there are loads of opinions on tires already posted.

But second to that, what you define as best will be far different that someone else.

Are you looking for tread life, road noise, appearance, cost? There are many factors that you need to consider and telling us those certainly helps give you our opinions.

Riveting and insightful. Can you share why the BFGs are your tire of choice?
That might help the OP decide on which tire(s) to evaluate.

 

I rock the Maxxis big horn MT's and love them.

 

Just my opinion but Wrangler MT/R had been very good for me. Work great in the snow and on the rocks. Very quiet for offroad tire and they balance well.

just personal oppinion.. That is the only tire i have ever ran, never let me down, no flats, 42,000 mile out of my last set, quiet if you keep them rotated, not one single complaint.. a little squirley on wet pavement though, but you learn to adjust.

 

Running Toyo OC MT's for about 20k now. Still at least 1/2 tread left. Not much louder than Nitto TG AT I had before. Awesome in snow, rocks, mud. A little squirrly on snow packed icey roads as all MT tires are but predictable. Balance very well for MT tires, the most is 5 oz on one wheel, one tire didn't need any weight at all
