IMG_0094.jpgIMG_1680.jpg 29436439-5504-4C6A-8E46-AF98626E8176.jpg I recently received an email from a guy asking me if I was selling my truck. He saw an ad I had posted on craigslist ( it was connected to a trailer that was selling )

    Here was my response.

"High miles but runs strong at 225,000. I'm running brand-new 34 inch 10.50 BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. Yukon 4.88 Front and rear diffs. Upgraded tundra brakes, rotors, and calipers .I have onboard Air (ARB twin air compressor) two batteries (Diehard platinum), 12,000 pound waterproof winch), The topper is 100% custom - in which I bought brand-new. -The canopy has a toolbox on one side ( interior is carpeted ) and both sides of the canopy have a pop up window - where the passenger side has a pop up and sliding window combined. Truck bed has a bed rug installed. I also have an onboard shower that I use to spray off sand and mud off my equipment boots before entering the truck. Temperature is controlled using the heater and air conditioner knob with in the truck. The wheels are from a 2016 Toyota 4Runner.

I bought this truck seven years ago all stock.

I Have a prodigy brake controller. It has a five pin standard trailer connector built into the rear bumper as well as a seven pin that I use for pulling trailers equipped with brakes.

I also have an auxiliary 15.5 gallon fuel tank installed underneath the bed. All custom made to be outfitted for the truck. On out-of-state trips I get 700 miles to a tank. On normal day commutes I get 600-ish miles per tank.

Custom fabricated front and rear bumper. We are bumper is the swing out tire carrier type. It can hold extra Jerry cans of gas spare tire shovel, your lights and highlift Jack.

3 inches of lift all around. Made BY OLD MAN EMU (in the front) and Deaver springs in the rear.

    All maintenance is up-to-date.

I use mobile1 full synthetic all around.

Honestly, I've never considered selling it as I've built it to suit my needs. But since you asked I will entertain offers."

Thank you everyone as I appreciate any input you might have.

From your write-up it's obvious you are in love with that truck. Any price you hear will not be enough for you. Don't ask me how I know that :amen:

Since I really don`t care for Double Cabs nor do I need another truck at this time

What ever the local price is for scrap vehicles a few hundred dollars .

Now that is what it is worth to me.

Depends on where you live, how clean the frame is, and how bad someone wants it. I had the same problem when I thought I would sell mine...most common answer on here was $14,500-15,500. I only have 110K on mine though it isn't as specifically purpose built as yours. Good luck with the decision to sell or not and for how much...basically the market/demand will determine selling price.

    Workin' on it....
Can't help you with the price as it's a fact that no matter how many of thousands of $$$$$ you have into it, most people don't care about the extras or put as much value in them as you have. You'd have to find a buyer who is specifically looking at this sort of build....perhaps hit up some of the people at Overland Bound or some other overlanding sites to get a better idea of asking price.

I know you have a first gen, but I am very interested in who you had do the auxiliary fuel tank and how you have it plumbed into the existing system. I've got a second gen and would love to have a 700 mile range......

I would ask about $12-13k if it were mine knowing that it would be hard to get it but if someone was willing to pay it...Then again how much is it going to cost you to build another truck to suit your needs, that would be the question if it was me.

4WD Double Cab prices have held really study here in Utah for the past couple years. Higher miles ones have only recently started to dip under $10K here and low mileage ones can still be seen for $$$$ in the high teens. Your truck is prob $12-14K or so around here...

BTW, where you located?--cause I want that topper!!!

And ditto to the aux tank questions...any info on it? Build thread somewhere?

Not nearly as much as you think. All of that aftermarket is worth squat. You've basically got a 4 door TRD with over 200k. It's hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like you have a drop bracket lift which is very undesirable. It would sell for about 9-10 as-is or if you brought it back to stock IMO. Best option would be to part out the goods and sell the truck as close to stock as you can get it.

PM me your phone and Ill be in touch. Sorry, not looking to sell or part out at this time; I'm located just south of Denver. I travel often so there's no telling where I'll be at any given time. I'll be in Nevada tomorrow.
