Hey guys, planning to upgrade my sound system in my 2013 tacoma. However I'm severely lacking in car audio knowledge. Lol. I understand some of the basics, if that, from doing research online. I just wanted your guys opinions on a system I came up with through Crutchfield. As well as if i got the correct watts, rms, and setup and if I'm getting the most bang for my buck. I want a quality midrange system with good quality sound and bass. I know it's all perspective but lmk what u guys think. Decided to go with a rockford fosgate system. Also this will be my first aftermarket audio system.
    Headunit: Pioneer Avh-x5800bhs
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X580BHS/Pioneer-AVH-X5800BHS.html

    Speakers: Front and tweeters
    RF P1675s component speakers
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P1675S/Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P1675-S.html
    Rear speakers- RF prime R165x3
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575R165X3/Rockford-Fosgate-Prime-R165X3.html

    Subwoofer: RF punch P3s 1x12
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P3S1X12/Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P3S-1X12.html

    Amps:
RF p500x1bd to power the sub
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P500X1B/Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P500X1bd.html
RF p400x4 to power the speakers
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575P400X4/Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P400X4.html
    Total price: $1509.91
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Headunit - Solid choice! I have an older version of this exact unit. Tons of features and good value for the money. Crutchfield is awesome with making sure you have all of the wiring harnesses necessary as well.

    Speakers
Front - This will be the most important part of your system IMO. Have you had a chance to hear these? People seem to have pretty good things to say about them, I just have never heard them so it is hard for me to recommend. I'd try and find a store with plenty of good options to hear what you like best for these.
Rear - Least important part of the system IMO. Good choice here. Cheap. Just run these off your head unit.

Sub - Again, haven't heard this sub. Does this fit behind the rear seats? I used to have a JL W3 prefab box that would fit in the storage bin behind the seats. Very convenient.

    Amps
4 Ch - I would recommend bridging this to 2 channel and only powering your front components. The rears will be fine running off the power from the head unit and you will get the most out of the amp and front components this way.
Mono - Looks good for the sub you picked!

Thanks for the only reply bro! Lol. Definitely what I wanted to hear. I hear you on bridging the amp for the front speakers but won't that be too much wattage for the speakers? Sorry I am a noob at this. Also I just found out that the sub and box would fit but I would have to remove the plastic bins and baby anchors to make them fit, which I'm hesitant too. How was that jl w3 sub you mentioned? Deep clean bass? And how was the fit? Thanks again man.

    You got it bro!

It wont be too much. Just be sure to be careful when you set your gains. Or get higher powered speakers! (my vote)

This is the sub I used to have. Only an 8 inch, but did get pretty loud. Fit in the bin after you trimmed out one of the shelves. I have since switched to a 10" Image Dynamics IDQ in a sealed box - which also required the bins and anchors removed. It isn't too hard to do.

I was just thinking about getting higher powered speakers for the fronts. Maybe throw that 6.75 front component woofer speaker to the rear leave the tweeter and get a 6×9 speaker for the fronts? Or just highe Still debating. As for the subs I don't mind removing the plastic behind the rear seats. Just the plastic bins underneath the seats. I need those. I'll definitely look up your idk sub though. Looks like any sub over 10 inch requires removing the rear plastic interior pieces.

+1 to the importance of speakers. If it were me, I think I'd ditch the rears and upgrade the fronts to Image Dynamics CXS64 or IDQ65 or something similar, and bridge the amp like SR suggests (or find a more powerful 4-channel and bridge 2 of the channels for a sub to simplify things, save space and maybe save a little coin). Use the factory stuff for rear fill. That IDQ mentioned above is a fine sub, but if you can fit that, you have gobs of options.

Thanks for the info man. You guys got me researching like crazy now. Haha. I'm seriously considering your guys bridging advice and running the rears off the head unit. Also looking up more options for subs amps and speakers. What do u guys think about this jl audio sub and box?https://www.crutchfield.com/p_136112TGW3/JL-Audio-CS112TG-TW3.html
Do u guys know if it will fit behind the backseat of a DC? I know the plastic and anchors definitely have to go to stand a chance.

I have the 10" version of the RF Sub in a custom box in my Double Cab, and it sounds really good... especially for the price

I actually went with a jl 10tw3 and a alpine 5 channel amp. Didnt get a chance to install it yet. I definitely read good things about that Rockford sub though.

So what did you end up doing for the fronts & rears? Ive been trying to figure out my best setup, but seems like I am getting no where because everyone has different opinions.

I ended up going with the alpine spr60c components up front and the alpine spr60 coaxial in the rear. Mainly because i got a good deal on thrm and wanted some thing that could handle a little more power and went with alpine because they're a trusted name in the industry. And they got good reviews online. I definitely wanna experiment with other speakers in the future though (so I wasn't too set in stone about speakers) when funds are available and if the gf let's me lol.
I hear you on all the different brands and models of speakers and what people say about them. In the end it just comes down to what sounds best to you. And whats in your budget.

I went with Infinity Kappas mainly because they are 2 ohm and I wanted to get every bit of power out of my amp.
    Front Component: Kappa 50.11cs
    Rear Coaxial: Kappa 62.11i

What kind of amp did you go with? I may just commit to these.

How about the head unit? Im looking for one that has all the features of my stock Entune. (XM, bluetooth, rear camera, steering wheel controls)
