I am considering installing a 1" body lift on my 2016 SR5 DCSB. Previously, I installed a Low Range Off Road spacer lift and 1" rear block. My question is how invasive is a body lift install. I saw a 3" body lift install on YT, and they had to cut several hoses and extend them, as well as lengthen the fuel tank refill tube, and even had to modify the gear shift knob. Will all of that be required for a 1" body lift install? Who here has personally done this to their 2016 Tacoma? I'm looking for first hand experiences. Thanks.

What else are you going to "level" and/or put a spacer on your truck? Seats perhaps? Surprisingly some people have "leveled" their seats too.

That's it. I'm already at 3" of lift. Just looking for an easy / cheap way to get to 4". Only other option is to lay down the $$$ for some Maxtrac spindles and new blocks

What's your 3" lift? I don't know that you'd want to stack lifts.

I live in Atlanta and drive a 2WD. Most off roading I'll be doing is curb hopping and driving through the yard lol

I currently have a 3" suspension lift (spacer bolted on top of strut).

I haven't installed a 1" BL on a taco... but on other vehicles it usually doesn't require extending anything. If you find the 1" BL kit you want.. just download the instructions and it will tell you the answers.

LOL jokes. I actually don't mind it. I've had it on for nearly a year with 30K miles of use. So far, so good *knocks on surface of wooden office desk*

The one inch body lift will not require cutting/splicing/extending and wires or hoses. It's the same basic process for second gen tacos if you want to try to find more info.

    don't encourage...

OP, you can do it if you want, but why do you feel ya need another inch..

Not satisfied with the 3" you currently have, you feel you may get a bit more admiration if you had 4" :jerkoff::hattip:

Easier to find a woman with small hands. Then you'll always feel a bit bigger. Wait were talking about a truck here right?

Just stick with the 3" lift and tell everyone it's 4 inches. I mean who's measuring anyway.

    Not an overbrander.
I run the 3" Performance Accessories body lift and it has caused me no trouble. It did require some extensions. I don't believe you'll need it for a 1" body lift. You will, however need to relocate your front and rear bumper if you don't want a gap.
