Just clarifying what the OP is after.

You said "I run the 3" Performance Accessories body lift and it has caused me no trouble. It did require some extensions. I don't believe you'll need it for a 1" body lift. You will, however need to relocate your front and rear bumper if you don't want a gap."

OP already has a 3" lift and is wanting to go 4", it's not just a 1" lift he's after, that's all.

    Someday...
Body lifts, especially a 1 inch should be easy to install. But, keep in mind I think there is 10+ spacers that need to go in. That can be a lot of wrenching.

I'm aware of that. I'm telling OP the 1" body lift won't need any extensions.

+1 on this. Body lifts are very simple. But they involve way more installation time, than a suspension lift.

The body lift brands I know of are: Performance Accessories, Toytec, and 4Crawler. I've heard good things about Toytec and 4Crawler, but have no experience with them. So check em out.

If same as 2nd gen, there will be 10 spacers: 2 for radiator mounts, 4 for the cab, and 4 for the bed. I would say it is much easier than installing suspension and either takes less time or the same.

Also, with a 1", if similar to 2nd gen, you'll need to fabricate or get some brackets/steel that will move your radiator/radiator shroud down as the belt-powered cooling fan is attached to the engine and the radiator and shroud to the body. You raise the body and the shroud makes contact with the fan. Will also need a spacer for the gas filler neck if the kit doesn't come with one. For that you could try to just use thick plastic washers or may have to make a bracket due to the angles.

While the components for a body lift may be cheap, the installation is where you are going to pay some serious cash. Call around and get some estimates so you don't chit yourself later.

Oh in that case I'd go with a 6" lift with blocks and 20" rims.... be careful on the curb hiphop thing... herd it was bad for wheels.

Yep, shops will charge 800-1200 for a body lift installation. If you have the time, space, and tools, doing the installation yourself might be worth it.

Yeah I installed my suspension lift myself. If I do this, then I plan to also install the body lift, myself, as well.

Read through all the posts on body lifts.

I've got a three inch Icon stage III, CMC, and an epic amount of trimming / beating back the pinch weld. Still rubs off road whenever I go down a steep incline and turn the wheel. I'm installing the Toytec 1" BL to raise the fender a little more and hopefully eliminate the rub once and for all. The lift is maxed out. There's not much else to do. I'm sick of the trash talkers here recycling the same line about body lifts having no usefulness.

Haters are for the 3"+ puck spacers, mainly on domestics that have terrible results. I've installed a few on customers trucks and they drive like a top heavy shopping cart.

1" is usually accepted especially when the truck is already lifted and trying to achieve simple wheel fitment. Most people won't even notice a 1" body lift as far as driving goes.

I'd rather run a 1" body lift with a 2" quality coil over than a spacer lift that gets 3" in the front.

Do you have a plan for the rear bumper alignment? RCI makes s factory looking steel bumper that can be mounted 1" higher for a body lift.

Hoping to find a high clearance option with a swing out soon. Not really concerned with aesthetics.
