Save for a rear bumper or SCS?

    Supercharger?

Do you wheel enough to "need" a rear bumper? Will you use a RTT or only 2-3 times a year deal where a $100 Walmart tent will more than suffice? Wheels are always for looks typically unless you really want to get rid of your spacers (granted you are running some).

I'll use the RTT a lot, dozen+ times a year. I'm just not sure if it's best for my camping needs. Usually it's surf trips and we wake up at 5 am and go find a spot to surf till 10ish. Tents usually stay and clean up when we get back. Not sure if I'll want to pack a tent up before going to surf that early.

I don't wheel enough to need a rear bumper but I hate my current one. It's the biggest eyesore I have with the 4Runner. I'd probably order one without a tire carrier and try and connect with a local guy to build me a custom swing out down the line. I'd add a ladder and mounts for a pressurized water system. Having additional mounts on the bumper would be killer.

I don't run spacers but would need to with Tundra brakes.

Don't want/need a SC. The pig is slow and I accept that

I'd say wheels then as they are the cheapest of the bunch and will work with the tundra brakes (another must have mod imo).

I'd love a RTT and been close to buying one but like you said they have to be taken down anytime you move. Also I wouldn't want to leave them on all the time so there is that issue of removing. Plus you have to level your truck which could be a pain.

I feel you on the bumper, the rear is an eyesore. I loved my CBI but the swingout got annoying on a DD. So many steps just to get to the back.

Wouldn't mind the swing out as it shouldn't my DD for much longer. Going to talk to the guy who'll be welding my sliders on about getting him to build me a dual swing out on a base bumper. Get everything I need and break up costs

I really want a RTT but the only way I see it happening is with a trailer. I need roof space too much and the convenience of being able to leave a tent. And a trailer is never happening so who knows about a RTT

you can always buy the savage rear without the swingouts. then when you decide to get it, order it separately

    I like this.

Know if Roy will do it without the holes in the side?

How's your swing out holding up?

The bracket that holds the swingout onto the bumper.

It must be installed BEFORE mounting the bumper.

So if you want the swing out, you need to remove the bumper to install it.

Id ask Roy if you can purchase that bracket without the swingout.

So you can install it and have it ready for when you get your swingout.

No need to remove the bumper again to put i on
