Old toyota rusty bolt trick that has worked for me in the past...
1.penitrating oil.....the 50/50 mix of trans fluid and acetone works great
2.before lossening rusty bolr/nut try tightening it,just a C hair,just something that has worked for me.

Also, Kano Kroil. wont find it in a store anywhere except the most backwoods of places, but that shit works wonders. Its PB blaster, but it works instantly, leave it to soak for 5 seconds and bob's yer uncle

 

When it comes to rusty bolts the acetilyn torches are my best friend. Its amazing what just a lil heat will do. I had to use heat a couple weeks ago on the mounting bolts of the down pipes on my exhaust manifolds. At first they felt like they would shear off for sure, add a lil heat and it came apart almost like a new truck.

 

That Tacoma that i mentioned was for sale by a customer at my work in canton sold it and now it's for sale on a Toyota FB page by someone in Hagerstown.

 

50/50 mix of acetone and ATF. Look it up. I keep an oil squirt can of it on my bench. Used it last week replacing a 30 year old fiero wheel bearing. Magical stuff.

 

Any of you guys running the ToyTec Ultimate lift? Just installed mine and I have a significant adjustment difference between the drivers and passenger side. About 1.5" of thread exposed on the drivers side, .5" on the passenger side, sits perfectly level. Seems kinda extreme to me?

 

I am not but all of the weight on our trucks is on the drivers side, which might be the issue. Not sure if it contributes a inch difference though.

 

I do, and while yours is a 3rd gen and mines a 2nd gen, the specs are similar. I have 2" of threads exposed on the drivers side and 1.5" exposed on the passenger side, and my truck sits .5" lower on the drivers side. If I raised my driver side to 2.5", there would be a 1" difference from the drivers side to the passenger side and it would sit perfectly level. Same 1" difference you are seeing. I just didn't want to stress my drivers side that much, so I am not perfectly level. I was more concerned about keeping the factory rake angle with my Dakars.

 

Actually sold my 3rd gen and bought a 2016 4Runner. Same front suspension however I believe the lean on these things is even worse than the Tacoma.

Ah no reason to apologize. 4Runner and Tacoma are very similar up front. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

 

Here she is. Looks nose high just because of the hill I'm parked on. Sits level and rides great. Now for an alignment. We'll see how the alignment goes, may get a set of JBA uppers if need be.

Thank you. I love the MGM, my Tacoma was the same. The SSM is a very nice color also. Here's what my Tacoma looked like. Loved it, just needed more space.

 

I was really close to ordering a stock one in that color after seeing/test driving yours.

My fiance's car is black and I hate keeping it clean. I decided MGM was too close to black for me.

 

MGM is MUCH easier that black. Always looks clean until you get up close.
