Atkins can be tough. I've eaten enough corned beef brisket and cabbage this week to gag on it. Had a ribeye last night and grilled romaine to go with it. And believe it or not tired of meat and leafs already all this talk of burgers and sauce on BBQ is killing me. Burgers are just a carrier for the condiments and of course the enemy.. bread. Damn I want a Culvers deluxe butterburger in the worst way now. And fries. And custard. Did I mention fries?

Do lettuce wraps. You can have the condiments, just not the bread. Though do read your ketchup label. Some have high fructose corn syrup. It won't kill ketosis if you're in it as long as you use it sparingly ( don't see half a bottle).

Well we didn't have a traditional Irish meal so best I could come up with was some Irish Whiskey that I grabbed the last time I went thru Shannon.

Atkins is tough. You have to get really creative. I really think giving up salt was easier for me than Atkins.

Good job Chuck...keep up the good work. I've never suffered knee pain (knocking on wood) but I did muck up my back last summer that kicked my ass.

I just go by one of the US Marines favorite quotes ........... " Pain is weakness leaving the body " ,this means the more pain you can endure the stronger willed you become

I just try and make my mind not think of pain and it really works
