007 (3).jpg The factory IFS cross members stayed on until frame plates were welded on then removed.

I'm very happy how the frame plates came out...I love TIG

Looks great, Shane. However, I have to wonder if he didn't shoot himself in the foot a bit with the port-side frame plate. I guess he could be just doing it differently than @allenfab is doing @The End 's truck, but if I'm right, he's gonna have to sleeve and reinforce the area he already plated for the steering box.

Not that I don't think he knows what he's doing, it just made me curious is all. :D

All good, yeah the cool part with any SAS build is almost no two are the same. We wanted to have full length frame plates for added strength and the steering box plate will be welded over top of it for double the love. A lot of CAD was completed this week also for all new brackets/sleeves/link mounts etc:thumbsup:

Beautiful work so far. Question on the FROR T-case mount which I dont see too many running yet, despite many attractive features for those using a stock case. Are you going to add a support for the tranny, or just leave it unsupported and chop the stock member off? Do you have any side picks that show the flatness of the of the belly with the FROR mount?

It ain't that the truth? Pretty soon you gonna end up with 40"s :D

Seriously, after all the work and $$$ to do a SAS, I am an advocate of running the biggest tire you can fit.

And damn....dude....the build is coming a long great! Wow, really clean work so far. It's gonna be awesome!

Thank you, as for the FROR T-Case mount I can try and post better pictures later. The factory trans support was removed to make room for the link mounts, I'm not running a duel case yet so I feel pretty good about the support from FROR mount. When I run duel case a custom Trans/skid combo will be fabbed up.:hattip:

Thanks for the support......Yeah every build I have read we all say "only running 37":rofl:With this being my DD I really want to sick with 37" also I feel 37" is the max for my current axle set up. I'm sure some day it will be on Tons then I will go 40's

Hahaha! True, everybody says that; famous last words lol

DD with 40"s can be done but it does not make financial sense. Those tires are waaaaaaay to expensive to just get them worn out on the highway driving every day. Not worth it. Heck, even 37"s are too expensive for that.

I am seriously going to get a set of 35" ATs, cheap ones, just for DD, and then will swap the 40"s for wheeling. That will help with gas too.

Oh, and yea...you would probably be pushing the envelop if you run 40"s with that axle :D But if you are not a maniac behind the wheel you could give it a try!

I hear you on the tire $$ and when buying 5...That hurts! Dang man I love seeing your rig on 40's. You might need a "Tire Intervention" when you go back to 35":goingcrazy:

Probably haha..especially since the truck will look weird with 35"s. A lot of sheet metal had to be :sawzall: off to make room for the 40"s.
