Weak Tailgate?

    bfg a/t, rust/ nothing on the brand new one yet
    Everyone talks about the tailgate being weak on the 2nd gens. What are the problems people are having?

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    They bent with a minimal load as compared to previous and other trucks.

    OEM All Weather Mats, wheel locks, Toyota Silver Tube steps.....
    from 2005- to some of the 2008, there are weak tailgates, they bent with little amount of weight on them, usually bent at the center.

    theres a tsb to fix it, if still under warranty...

    Was the problem fixed on 09-10 or is it still a TSB? I haul all the time but my truck is only 3 weeks old so haven't loaded up to the tailgate yet...

    I believe the fix was after a few models on the 2008, my tailgate was already fixed and it was an 08, i think 09-10 are covered
