Hey guys this is my first time on this site! I have a long bed 2009 tacoma TRD that I will be putting a 3" lift on with bigger wheels. Right now, I can't decide whether or not I want a 0 or a -12 offset. Will either of them work? Pros and Cons for both? I'm leaning towards the -12 because I want the wheel base to be wider and every rim I liked was a -12 offset. I will be putting 33s (toyo open country A/T 2) on and the rim size is 17x9. The rims I am leaning towards are the HELO HE879. Thank You!

Wider wheels and tires with stock offset will rub the UCA. Wider tires and wheel with proper offset to clear the UCA will cause rub on all the plastic liner, mud flaps, cab mount etc. A 265/70/17 has some pretty good rub with a 4.5" backspace on a 17x8. Even with a lift, you may not notice any rub just general driving, but as soon as you work the suspension a little, the rub starts. So I'm guessing with a 9 inch wheel and a true 33, you will definately have rub

With this knowledge, which is greatn. Trimming the plastics is a breeze if you have patience, and people will never notice that you did it. Pics please when you get ur rig finished.

That's surprising. I have 265/70/17s on FN fx pros. With falken wildpeak at3, I have rub everywhere, but at stock height. . front and back on the liners.. removed flaps and still rubs on the remaining liner in the rear, and still gotta keep cutting on the liner in the front. But, a leveling kit, is basically a 2 inch lift. Have you flexed your front much yet?
