So how does the switch load work at 18a and one at 30a. If a set of lights draws 60a how does switch pro handle the load on a single switch?

The switch pro has multiple solid state relays, one for each button. So it would be no different than using standard relays, each load has it's own button/switch and a relay

60amps is something like 720 watts. I would just break that up to two switches. I'm not sure there's a single 720 watt light out there. But I could be sticking my foot in my mouth here.

So if you had 4 KC lights at 180 each. You would need to split them to different switches? I think I understand. So the same as you normally would but with the built in relay.

Or you use one switch and use the relay that came with the lights. The power from the switch pro will close the relay and the high power needed for the lights can flow directly from the battery. That is what you have to do with a winch setup.

But won't you still have to wire the relay to power and ground?

Yes, This is the way you should handle higher amp circuits, IMO. I Probably wouldn't run anything higher then 25 amps on the 30 amp circuit, but that is me. But most things like ditch lights, small light bars, and such, wire directly to the SP. This thing is worth the price in the hours it will shave off of wiring, and the way it consolidates switches.

XPOTRPR can I get one of those cubby mounts? If you PM me payment info I can get that over to you this afternoon.
    Thanks
    Morgan

I am the OP for this thread:

    Switch-Pros SP8100 Switch Panel Information & Discussion

I would be happy to link locations and installation pictures for 3rd Gen installations in this thread. Maybe I can get a mod to move the thread out of the 2nd Gen section of TW and into a more generic location. But there is no reason not to have information geared towards both 2nd and 3rd Gens in the same thread. Plus many of the questions people will ask is independent of which ever Tacoma you own. I am not trying to step on any toes so if the OP of this thread would prefer I can easily remove this post if you would like people to deposit 3rd gen info here.

Anyone looking for a 3rd Gen mounting plate for bus bars and a switch pros. Tacomapros.com has one, just contact them about it as they dont have it on their website for some reason yet.
