No man, we drove down to gulfshores for the weekend. Sorry if that's how I made it sound. I have had an absolutely quiet rear-end since day one and over a year of ownership. I have monitored the thread, and been keeping a close ear on it. I guess I got lucky on that one.

My wife is 4'11" so getting into a lifted truck isn't easy with no steps. We keep a folding step tied to a rope for my mother in law to get in (she's 4'9"). We usually just end up taking my mother in laws Volvo if we go anywhere.

My wife LOVES the truck... She is wanting to replace her 4x4 now. She has a 2006 Xterra with 6 speed manual, with OME suspension, Insain front plate bumper and sliders, gobi rack and everything she needs on-board for overlanding. She wants to go to a Jeep Unlimited and I'm trying to move her towards a new 4 runner once the 2018 version is released. But the more i think about it... a Jeep in the family may be nice!

Put it this way. I would never leave my house unless I had my credit card with me. In case the thing broke down.

The seats aren't that comfortable, I had an early 2000's Ford and those were even more comfortable than these seats. I can deal with it, it isn't a huge issue to me. My parents though can't ride in the truck for extended periods of time because of the seats.

My jeep was a 2011 2dr Rubicon 6sp manual with the last year of the 3.8l engine. It went 60k miles without one lick of trouble. Lifted with 35's and wheeled hard in the rocks. My cousin has owned it for over a year now still without issue. Only thing replaced is break pads like every 20k because the BLD system eats them up. First jeep I ever owned and loved it, just to small for a dd. Want another one day.

Add me to the "Wife Hates It" column. It's all good. She just misses my Tahoe which obviously had MUCH more room to move around.

Did a 9 hour (one way) road trip yesterday in the T4R. No wife so no complaint...remind her that that is an option :)

    BTW, howdy neighbor.

    They don't bitch...much.

Owned a 2012 Wrangler. 32k miles and they had to rebuild the entire engine and heating system because of casting sand in the engine block. It was a $6k warranty job. On the way home from the shop two pieces fell out from under the dash and I have no idea what they were. Traded that piece of shit in before the warranty ran out

My wife isnt a fan but tolerates it - I think she would prefer if my tastes skewed more SUV than Truck but she will occasionally take a ride in the Tacoma.
