I have a black snug top shell.
I like it. but I like it off too.
I'm ADD. Trying to side whether to offload it or keep it.

The problem is I ride dirt bikes. So I need it off to load them up plus it's nice to drive in the city. But on the highway the shell makes for a smoother ride

If you regularly need to haul something in the bed that's taller than the shell it would seem a no brainer to get rid of it.

I would be lost without my shell.

ARE cap, wade inchannel vent visors, weathertec floor mats, ranch hand grill guard, tuffy security boxes in bed, lockable tailgate handle. Still have stuff that needs to be installed and still have stuff ordered lol.
keep it and get a trailer or a hitch setup to hold the dirt bikes

Yeah. Problem is I have a pop-up trailer and I haul dirt bikes in the truck.
Oh yeah and I have a six pack hard side cab over camper. I'm a little ADD with my truck. But the shells great for going to the beach. Or pulling my trailer without the dirt bikes

Pulling the tent trailer is a dream
Hard side camper is great for road trips
Pull over and sleep anywhere you want
    Then there's the shell.

My opinion, Remove it but keep it for later. Caps aren't cheap.

I'm getting rid of mine as soon as I move back to California. I hate the darn thing--I regularly want to move/take things that are bigger than the cap. Mine even has an extra 6 inches or whatever to make it taller!

If you were in Texas I would have decided for you. I have been on the hunt for a black paint code 202 for my DCLB. Good luck

What ever you do, put rear air bags on that thing immediately or you're going to go through rear suspension parts like a teenager through a bag of candy

Don't use the sixpac much. Quick overnight trips to get out town. On and off pretty easy. It doesn't stay on the truck. For more than a day or two
