Nope. Already checked. Now that I remember, only the front is balanced. The rear is not. But I feel the shake in the steering wheel, so it has to be something wrong with the front

Alright, well you're on the right track getting a rebalance, then if ya still have it, check balance. It's less likely, but could be from a bad tierod or worn out steering rack bushings

If any of you go there, Brian is the head tech and knows exactly how to dial in alignment on a lifted truck.

 

Should check wheel bearings too - that was the cause of a wobble for me one time.

 

I replaced my upper control arm bushings last fall. I had asked my mechanic who does my annual inspection to look at the alignment, and he noticed play in the rear upper bushing on the drivers side. Rides really well at the moment.

 

Well I hear a humming sound, but think i thought it was the st maxxes. I mean they are pretty quiet for their aggressive thread pattern. But now I gotta check for bearing just in case

 

The bushings look worn as well, but I never had the shimmie before the lost of my tire in the highway

Exactly, finding a good shop will save you money in the long run

 

Remember though. When you lost the wheel at highway speed, the truck LCA and front disc took a hard hit on the pavement and dragged several feet. So possibly something happened to the steering at that time.

 

So lca also controls alignment?

 

I am planning to take the truck to Firestone, any advice on them? He offered the lifetime service, but I just wanted to make sure they know about lifted trucks.

 

will do. I'm probably going to upgrade my UCA'S come the winter.

 

@Sub-Zero 's guy at the Goodyear in Westwood does a great job. They have a 3 year alignment plan.

Not only the LCA, but all that vibration and shaking during the drag-through might've caused all kind of shit to possibly loosen.
