I assume MSRP is around $38k. It's a decent deal if you feel comfortable paying that. If you want a better you will have to shop around longer and expand your search outside your local area.

I agree, so if you end up at invoice + sales tax + destination and a reasonable doc fee (depends on the dealer and brand, but in Boston-Providence area my experience has been that it's anywhere from $250 -$400) - minus any incentives (military, loyalty, recent student graduate) then that's an "OK" deal in my mind. Having said that if you hit the right dealer on the right day on a vehicle he want's to move you can get well below that.

You paid lower than invoice + TTL, that's a deal I'd be ok with.

That is a better deal than the one I have currently lined up with a broker. I have a 2017 TRD Off-road 4x4 6MT with premium & tech, tow, bed mat, cargo net, and D-rings on order for $36,728 before TTL. Dealers around here only seem to be offering better deals with trucks on the lot which are all automatics, and ironically have a more expensive MSRP than their manual counterparts. It seems everyone in this thread is getting better pricing which makes me wonder if it is a regional thing, or just the fact I put in an order instead of buying off the lot.

I have a question, was anything else suppose to be included with the rubber tacoma mats, like the door sills or something, or was that just the carpet mats??

I stepped into a dealership yesterday for a taco that was a match to what I was looking for. Silver TRD Sport 4x4 SBDC, premium tech package w/JBL, tow, exhaust tip, premium floor mats. I didn't find out until I got there it had some dealer install junk ($900). Nitro in the tires, pin stripes and a couple of other things. Not any of the fabric guard stuff. MSRP was $39,719. They droped it to $37K. OTD would have been $39K. They said it was $750 below invoice. They said that the pinstripes were in the paint and could not be removed. I just couldn't live with that so I walked away. I asked them "why the heck do you put pinstripes on your trucks"? They said the owners are older and the dealership is out in the country (south of Houston). Sale lady said it wouldn't be the first time she lost a sale because of the pinstripes. They made the mistake of telling me the truck had been sitting on the lot for weeks. I asked for another 1K off, but they wouldn't budge. Just couldn't do the pinstripes down the sides of the truck.
90% of the trucks they had on the lot were the off road, a few were Sport and a few limited. Seems like every dealership has over inventory of the off roads.

I agree. Those pine stripes are ugly as sh**t and are only there to jack up the sticker price for some BS add on. I'm glad the dealerships up north don't put those on all new vehicles.
The off road trim must be the most popular trim in your area; therefore, they keep a lot of inventory of it as they believe they can sell the most inventory of the off road trims. The limited models is the lowest volume of all the trims for the Tacoma. My local dealership mainly has SR5 and sport models and a couple off road and limited models. They only have 12 tacomas in stock since it's a low volume dealership.

The limited models are nice for people who don't care about off roading and want all the features this truck comes with in one package but I just can't get over those ugly brown/hickory seats and brown padding in each door.

I hope you find the truck you want and the price you want.
