I can't tell if y'all shit-posting, or your posts are genuine- based on actual facts and research, or purely emotional.

(Byproduct of text-only communication + Autism spectrum)

NASCAR's golden boys (heroes & villains who sell the most tickets & generate most ad revenue, because this is purely about money and nothing else) over the last 35 years (in reverse):

Jimmie Johnson & still Kyle Busch
Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Kyle Busch
    Jeff Gordon & Tony Stewart
    Dale Jarrett & Rusty Wallace
    Davey Allison & Dale Earnhardt
    Bobby Allison & Darrell Waltrip

Then you get the random outsiders who succeed against the odds and without NASCAR's promotion:
    Martin Truex Jr. (Delaware)
    Bad Keselowski (Michigan)
    Joey Logano (Connecticut)
Greg Biffle & Kasey Kahne (Washington)
    Juan-Pablo Montoya (Colombia)
    Marcos Ambrose (Australia)
Tight-knit teams who baffled the industry before being welcomed into the fold:
Alan Kulwicki & Matt Kenseth (Wisconsin)
    Bill Elliott (Georgia)

Just like yah got your favorite driver that you would prefer to see hoisting the big trophy and attending the winner's interview.

Well yah gotta have a scoundrel, the anti-hero, that dirty rotten weasel that stole the win from your driver. (Ok that might me a bit over stated) But it's a balance kinda thing and I just don't like Bad Brad & Joey Whitebread.

I have a buddy who roots for Brad for all the right reasons: "He races hard, he doesn't back down from anyone, he comes from a longtime racing family, and he's uglier than a donkey's rear end. I caint root for no pretty boy racer."

The golden boys are the ones in which the "rules" (there made up as they go anyway) never apply to...

I just saw him pull a Richard Sherman... And not blame anything... Only comment was glad to be back in the Skittles Camry... Y'all really need to take the Penske tin foil off... They have the most run ins of recent history over dumping drivers, not just KB...

I've done both. The experience has nothing to do with the Wallace brothers. They just lease the name. For 100 bucks it's definitely a fun time. It's very controlled and the cars are pretty warn out. They drive like a dump truck on the asphalt. That's why I like the dirt model better. The key is, once you are strapped in. Reach across the cab and see if you can play with the ignition box. That's were all the fun is.

I went to the short track last night and what I witnessed would put anything Busch, heck, Earnhardt even, to shame. 30 lap US Legends race took an hour because everyone wadded up in the turns every two laps, then paybacks and ugh. I was DONE. Why can't people race hard, smart, AND clean? The Late Model race was just that. Such a good 50 lap event with a monumental comeback by last week's winner.

I'm drawn to the asphalt because I'm familiar with the track (was there last night), and would love to turn some laps to get a better idea what the drivers are doing during a race there. Dirt sounds like heaven to me, but i have ZERO experience driving anything at speed on dirt, unless you count my high school dirt road hooning when I was 17 in my old Firebird.

By ignition box, are you speaking of the rev limiter chip?

Here's to hoping Kyle loses an engine tomorrow, he would blame it on a bird if it would make sense. Brad and Joey look fast for tomorrow :D

Joey looks like the wall. I hate Penske fans bc they never see their fuck ups... I admit Kyle has pulled some horseshit, but goddamn logano is a fuck up who couldn't cut it at Gibbs. Of course Penske fans will never see he dumps all the time, and runs like a bitch, but hey he's never been fined so he HAS to be soooo innocent...

Don't worry, Kyle will be in the wall again soon, Brad or Joey will take care of business.

Dude, just post a clip already. I'm sure there's one out there on youtube. I recall the moment I decided I wasn't a Joey fan: It was a truck race at Martinsville- the one where without fail, some Cup driver loses his shit and dumps a truck series regular. Joey drove through someone because he was raced too hard. I thought "aww dang. Come on dude, have some scope here." I wasn't always a Penske guy. I didn't like Rusty or Kurt Busch. It was really when Brad came aboard, stood up to Carl Edwards' crap and beat Jimmie for the Championship. The icing on the cake was their switching to Ford.

There's this strange underlying perception that Joey doesn't deserve to be where he is because he's a rich kid whose dad bought his way into the sport. There's truth in that, but show me a self-made modern driver who made inroads into the sport without daddy's connections or financial backing.

    Last week:
I picked Keselowski to win, barring a right front hub issue it was his by more than 3/4 of a sec. Unfortunately it did not work out with 2 to go, I missed on the fact Truex was a better Toyota Than Kyle was even though LV was a bad track for him. Larson and Elliott continue to carry the chevys into thr fourth race.

    This week:

    Best toyota: Kenseth
    Best chevy: Johnson
    Best ford: Logano

    Pick for the win: Kenseth

    Dark horse: Bowyer

yeah, when NASCAR backs them over the other 38 cars... Again. But hey I foresee Penske will not win the championship this year... A Toyota will

My kiddo built a track in his room and ran a race this evening, announcing the top five finishers for tomorrow's race:

    Winner: Larson
    Runner-up: Blaney
    Third: Keselowski
    Fourth: Kahne
    Fifth: Logano

We're talking Phoenix here, which is Harvick's dominion-especially with Edwards gone. Kyle Busch could appear, as long as he has his temper under control. When he's driven to prove himself, he can do amazing things. Phoenix is relatively flat, which appeals to guys who succeeded in late models, such as Earnhardt and Logano (former winners at slightly similar New Hampshire). The cream always rises so, as mentioned above, Kenseth and Johnson should appear as contenders with 50 laps remaining. Harvick seems to have missed the setup as he is 1/2 a second, and 3mph off the pole speed.
