Yeah I had the bumper off the truck when I did this so measuring/fitting was easier. I don't think that it will make much difference where on the bumper you mount them, they are so bright, everything will be lit up.

How did you wire them? I want to wire them to an override switch, in the cab.

Drove to a glacier...

 

1. Arnold's stunt double on motorcycle.
2. Ed Furlong's stunt double on dirt bike.
3. Since Ed Furlong's stunt double is adult-sized, the dirt bike is a scaled-up prop to keep things in proportion. (It's bigger than the Harley!)

Yup. Didn't know if it was worth it over the regular, but didn't want the Elite. I try to minimize Chrome... It's a battle with the wife

 

Yeah I got regular. See how it goes.

 

I just tapped the power wire straight into the backup wire for the stock units using some scotch locks, grounded the black wire to frame. I considered running a separate wire to select them from the cab. I'd just run a 16 gauge wire to a relay near the back bumper that was between the stock backup wire and the lights. It would allow the lights to be illuminated when switched on and backing up.

 

Hopefully I'll get around to it on Tuesday or Wednesday. Pics to follow for sure.

This job was not all that difficult. As I recall, more tedious than anything. That stake nut was a bit of a pain. If you decide to replace it, here is the part number for it: 90179-22016
