I can get a set of 265/75/16 M/T's for $500. Are they worth it?

Yes they are worth it...I love mine. I got mine for like $740 out the door with road hazzard install and all the TPMS crap.

They feel funny at the begining, But you get used to it. They are not extreamly loud tires but they have a good hummmm to it.

He started at 650 for the tires, steel rims and the sensors but I told him he was crazy, went down to 500. He says they have 90% tread left.

You can go to pepboys and get them brand new like I did. Also I failed to mention, I get a $140 rebate back, So basically buy 3 get one free.

The thing that killed me was labor and the TPMS charges...Grrr, I could have went to Jose's tires and got them mounted and balanced for $40

Keep them rotated. I got the 10ply, Load rang E tires. The side wall was firm. Don't know about tread wear. But it has a 40k warranty.

I paid 666.42 for a set of 285/75/16 with install, tread warranty, and all. And I have a 139 rebate check coming in the mail. So 527.42 after all is said and done. They look awesome, perform great. I've only had em for about 1.5k miles so I can't comment on wear.

I noticed the M/T is a mud tire, since I don't go offroad wouldnt it make more sense to get the all terrain?

Those would actually look pretty good... if the seam between the two halves were lined up and not so bloody obvious...

I've got over 20K miles on my MTs. They still look great. Here's a recent shot I took for another post.
