Howdy y'all! I just picked up my first Tacoma yesterday! A 2007 X-Runner, been having a blast with it so far. Have one quick question, did this year model come equipped with any sort of traction or stability control? So far it does not seem like it has any. Can anyone confirm this for me? If it does have it, how do I disable it? Thanks for any answers!

I also have 07 X-Runner and it does not have trac/stab control. I believe that feature was added around 09. It does have a limited slip differential.

May not have an X Runner but at least we don't have to deal with TC or ECT, 100% still prefer a clutch based posi than a gear driven, gear driven still requires some traction on the spinning side.

Yep, the newer models use ABS correct? I'm not sure what type of diff this truck has but it locks up pretty nicely. Not quite as abruptly as my 95 Miata with a Torsen though, that thing locks up the instant any wheel spins.

All Taco LSD's are posi (clutch based) Torsen is gear driven and yey on a small car it works well but with a truck I would rather have clutch posi or locker because you may get in a situation where the spinning wheel has no traction at all and the gear driven torsen requires some traction. I agree I could just hold the brake a little and it should pull me up but i'm fine with servicing the clutch pack every once in awhile. And yes we have ABS
