That didn't tell me much Mike. I've been looking at the U-haul site and apparently the little 5x8 or 4x8 are pretty lite. I do need to get more of a drop for the hitch, about 2 more inches. So your thinking little trailer with some furniture no problem?

One question though , why didn't you have it towed home instead of risking engine damage from 230 plus temps . As Mike mentioned aluminum blocks don't do well with excessive temps

Lol you asked if your 2.7 would tow a small trailer with some furniture and a compressor.
    Yes... :notsure:
Will u need more of a drop? You raised the truck? so yes.
My stock truck needed 2" drop. My utility needed a 3 or 3 1/2 (CRS )

Great thanks. The next challenge will be figuring out hoew in the hell I'm going to get my FIL into the truck with his walker. Up and over the sliders maybe I can just throw him in. I'm figuring this should handily finish my back off

To be honest didn't think about it. It only got to 230 once and I pulled over immediately.
I just thought I needed to limp back home.
It took me over an hour to get home cuz I was watching temps.
    Going to get oil.now.

Why not use a step stool to help your FIL to get into your truck

Was reading thru some threads here on TW and noticed people using the word "Overlanding" . Is this the new politically correct word now for Off Roading that the Millenials created ???:facepalm:
