I really love the AccessCab. The only other configuration I would have considered here in Canada would have been the TRD Off-road DCLB. But Toyota Canada in all of its wisdom has decided that we can only have that in the TRD Sport. So I needed that 6ft bed and here we are!

Had 4 Toyota trucks since '87: a regular cab 1 ton, 2 extra cabs, and now the access cab. All have been great trucks - including this one so far. Don't need 4 doors, need the long bed, AC truck barely fits in the garage as it is. This is my first AC and I really like the accessibility to the rear seat area too.

I needed bed length, but not truck lenght. Two of my buddies were unimpressed with the room in their DCs (one even sold his). I drove a 2011 AC when I met my wife, and she said she actually preferred the look of the AC! So she recommended an AC for the new one.

Here she is with our youngest... obviously space is not an issue for the kid.

I need the long bed, but a dclb is too long, might as well get a full sized imo.

Plus access cabs look better. The lines look wrong on dcsb to my eyes.

Silver seems popular in the AC. Here's mine with the new Magnum steps.

As you probably know, The choices for the AC are limited. I liked these the best.

Just bought a new 2017 TRD Sport AC, was H E double hockey sticks trying for find one. All of the dealers in and around Maricopa County had crew cabs but only three had an any AC's and most of those were spoken for. Never could see four doors and a short bed in a pickup and 4 doors and long bed on a 4x4 just didn't make much sense to me either.

Have any of you that purchased the access cab ever regretted not having 4 doors? I ask because I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Tacoma. I really like the access cab and would prefer a long bed, but HATE the double cab long bed. I did own a 2005 DCSB and it didn't bother me too much having the short bed. I do have a son that is 15 and a wife, but it is very rare we are all in the truck together...like once or twice a year rare. Any thoughts or opinions?

My wife is 5' and small. She rode in the backseat of my access cab during the road test. She said it was fine back there for short trips.
