Last night I was pulling my DCLB OR automatic into my shop. The truck was in 2H. There is about a 3" lip up onto the concrete pad. I usually pull in with enough speed to allow the rear tires to roll up over this lip but this time I didn't do that. I inched the truck up so the rear tires were resting on this lip and gave it some gas to pop over it. Suddenly there was a loud fast clicking sound and a dash light was blinking then went back to norma in about 5-8 seconds. Any ideas what this could of been?

Have you put it in crawl control yet? You can hear the abs go crazy. Lots of clicking.

I was thinking the same, traction control but the blinking light seemed more like a warning issue. I didn't really have time to see what it was since it happened so fast and then went away.

If the vehicle is in danger of slipping or if any of the drive wheels spins, the slip indicator light flashes to indicate that the VSC/TRAC systems are operating. Depending on the vehicle, a buzzer (intermittent) may sound to indicate that VSC is operating.

Yes, I have. The truck was in 2H tho. Similar noise but no creaking and a loud clicking sound.

Slip indicator light. I will look it up. It seems the light was on the right cluster but not 100%. Thanks, this seems logical and "normal for the truck" :)

Agreed. Haven't seen it on the 17, but when the 11 started to slip lights and buzzers went off.

But seriously I've had it kick in on damn near level ground. If the truck senses you rolling back at all, in the right situation, it will kick in.

Yeah that happened to be today now that I think about it. I read the truck will shut off if you roll too far backwards in drive.

Normal. Has happened to me too slowly pulling into garage and it bumps backward.

You can always go back and do the exact same thing to replicate what happened but this time watch the dash to see which light goes off.

Let the truck roll back on an incline and you'll hear the same thing and see the same light illuminate
