Building basically the same setup now... OTT pack rack on softtopper, gear rack inside with rotopax, etc. outside rack. Looking at a lot of systems for drawers, pullouts...

    What are you thinking?

Hey man I'm just outside Raleigh, NC. Let me know if you could use a hand with any of your install stuff. Not to help you necessarily you probably don't need an extra set of hands etc. but I'm curious to start learning how to do stuff and work on my tacoma.

Well meeting with a company wednesday or thursday to look at design and fitment for bumpers front and rear and sliders. They have yet to get their hands on a 3rd gen and im definitely willing to let them use mine as a donor. Their products for the t4rs are on point a long with the 2nd gen tacoma stuff. Looking forward to working with them!

Cool. I was looking at Pelfrey built bumpers online they have a hidden hitch mount thing which adds a ton of departure angle. So definitely recommend you mention that. They remove the factory tow hitch and replace it with a new one that fits inside the rear bumper, hidden behind the license plate.

Took it to budbuilt so they could mock up a template for sliders. They have a sweet linexd land cruiser build they are working on. Super nice people cant wait to get my truck in here next month to get some bumpers mocked up :anonymous:

Very nice looking sliders. Those are custom built? They had to take measurements of your tacoma and design from scratch? Sounds like it cost a fortune. Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy some prefab ones online somewhere?

Those sliders pictured are for a 4 runner. And the conpany doesnt yet have a product design for a 3rd gen tacoma as they havent had a local one in their shop. They are designing me bumpers front and rear as well. And its going to save me piles of money being they are using my truck as a template. Basically i will walk away with bumpers and they will walk away with a useable template where they can produce 100s of bumpers same thing with the sliders

But yours is a sport! Let me know if you want a 17 Offroad to come in for a template :) I might could use some bumpers and sliders.

Hahaha they are all the same when it comes to frame rail holes and bumper mounting :D but once they get a protype produced ill be sure to post pictures and a price point. Should be a good thing for us east coast guys as we will have a local pruduct so shipping wont kill us.

I looked at your build log. Old Man EMU Kit w/ Dakar Leaf from headstrong. I went to their website. But nothing on it says anything about how much of a lift it is... wierd right? Shouldn't it say how much of a lift it is front/rear? Maybe I'm missing something.

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/st...mu_Kit_w/_Dakar_Leaf_Pack_-_2016__Tacoma.html

Is this what you ordered? With/without UCAs?

    Strut Selection: 90000 Firm Strut
    Strut Assembly: Add Strut/Coil Assembly
Upper Control Arms: Add Light Racing UCA's
    Subtotal $1,684.99
