Maybe l read it wrong but l thought the OPs entire post was about some kind of maintenance plan which seems like a major rip off.

Cool story. What does it have to do with purchasing a maintenance program?

Nothing but context. The point was that I went 8 years on the 2007 SR5 DC LB AT without any maintenance issues. Or consider it the ruminations of one with too much time on his hands.

Maybe you are confusing people using the term maintenance. Maybe you mean no Mechanical issues, are you buying a Maintenance plan or an Extended Warranty to cover mechanical problems?

    No maybe about it.

@ChukarBob Are you talking about Vehicle Service Agreements (aka extended warranty) or Prepaid Maintenance Plans?

Different things. Both will generally be in favor of the company writing the policies.
