Yeah, it looks like a lot of options including the cab size and diesel are truly options:

    • Class-exclusive 2.8L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, capable of 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque
    • Choice of crew- or extended cab configurations (including short and long beds, respectively)
    • 7-speaker Bose premium audio system
    • Dealer-installed, bed-mounted spare tire carrier
    • Full-length black vinyl floor (no additional cost — standard interior features leather seats and carpet)
    Here's what is standard:

    • Class-exclusive front and rear electronic locking differentials
    • Revolutionary, segment-exclusive Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve (DSSVTM) dampers
    • Off-road rocker protection
    • Modified front and rear bumpers for better off-road obstacle clearance
    • Exclusive ZR2 17 x 8-inch aluminum alloy wheels
    • 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac® off-road tires
    • New cast-iron control arms
    • An aluminum skidplate that protects the radiator and engine oil pan
    • Autotrac transfer case
    • Transfer case shield
    • Aggressive grille and hood combo unique to ZR2
    • Modified rear axle with a 3.42 ratio
    • Front and rear tracks widened 8.9 cm (3.5 in.) over a standard Colorado
    • Suspension lifted 5 cm (2 in.) over a standard Colorado
    • Off-Road Mode Technology
    • 4-wheel disc brakes
So from what I gather the stock ZR2 will be much like a TRD Offroad while the loaded model will be a bit less than a TRD Pro since it will not come with branded shocks, from what I can tell. The DSSVTM shocks sound cool but no one knows what they will be until they hit the road so to speak. Still a great little truck though, especially with the front and rear stock lockers.

I'm guessing the 44k truck has no options and is an extended cab gas model. Great as a starting point. Similar to a TRD OR in the same trimish.

Just saying...I was able to get an extra $2000 off msrp compared to Cochrane. The sale manager is also the owners son,... thought he was an arrogant d&^k. :anonymous:

They had a crew cab short bed there with a couple of options that was $48,000. Those shocks come standard and so does the front locker and the 31" duratracs. OR can't be compared to the ZR2 really. Toyota had a TRD Pro Tacoma there and for $5-6k less (since Tacoma Pro doesn't come as access cab) the Colorado really does look like a much better buy after sitting in both and comparing their equipment. I do like the OR Tacoma over the Z71 Colorado though.

I cant wait to see some direct comparison vids.

I know no matter what I wouldn't trade my taco for a Colorado. For various reasons that are irrelevant to the question at hand haha. It does look decent though.

Went to the Calgary auto show today. Sat in the Colorado ZR2, wasn't overly impressed with the interior. Only thing that was cool was a front diff locker. The whole interior felt cheap and the shifter with the +/- on the side felt out of place. The seats were not great and the plastic trim around the side was so high up that when exiting it would press against your leg. all in all when I left and got into my Tacoma I knew I made the right choice!
Included photos of the shifter and the plastic on the seat im talking about.

This is why I buy higher quality imports now lol..hate that chunky plastic cheap look...especially the direction GM went. At least Ford and Ram I could get used too.

Thanks, Toad. I'm in the market for a cap and am trying to put a name to all the ones I like. From what I've seen, 100XQ = very nice = $$. That's the way it goes with all nice stuff.
