    Ok guys I've decided on the ATX Artilary wheels..... And I'm going to go with Goodyear Duratracs for tires but I don't know what size I should go with.

    275/65/18
    or
    285/70/17

    Your advise or comments are appreciated!!

    285/70/17's. Cheaper and look better with less wheel and more sidewall IMO

    285-70-17 is 32.8" diameter
    275-65-18 is 32.1" diameter
    There's 0.85" lower profile with the 18" rims.

    Looks 285-70-17
    Off road 285-70-17
    Street 275-65-18

    The height is noticeable different. 285-70-17 is much taller. That will add more bounce and less handling.

    For off road they're far apart. There is a level where the 2 sizes will act very differently. 285-70-17 will out perform the other tire in every way off road.

    The 275-65-18 will out perform the 285 on the roadway and accelerate faster.

    But that's not what you asked. Between the two sizes I'd choose 285-70-17. I think it looks better larger. If you do hard off road driving over rocks the smaller rims help. If mud, doesn't matter much. Down side is the taller and wider tire will reduce economy 1-2 mpg. Either way, BIGGER looks better.

    Just going with what I know..... 285/70/17...... they look good.... and with my set up they ride fine. BC I have they Maxxis Bighorns they are nice and loud too, and they handle well off road.

    i had 285/60 20s on my stock tocoma Enkei WT4s with out lift. and there was minimal rubbing!
