Those sound more like it. I would think the trans cooler would be part of the radiator, which if thats the case, then the way to tell on an auto would be to see if there are multiple lines coming out the back of the radiator... at least >2.

I am not 100 percent sure.. that is a pic I grabbed from another thread... said it was the trans cooler but that doesn't mean it was correct.

@Mugsy7 Toyota's "Build" page really isn't a build page. It allows you to select options for already built vehicles that are in your region. Change to a far away zip, and the options change to what's available in that region.

Kinda sneaky like the whole auto limited slip differential.

Standard on all Ram Trucks for when it breaks down and you can't wait for the tow truck.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
The oil cooler is a second "radiator" looking thing with some soft tubing in front of your actual radiator near the horns. On the 2nd gen you can spot it by looking down between the grille and radiator.

Not true. Dealers add hitch and wiring to trucks without tow pkg.

    I know, I know!
Haven't personally experienced this with a new vehicle.

Not my experience. When I was preparing to order my truck I was able to build a config that wasn't even in allocation. The inventory search would then show stuff *close* to my build, but none were an exact match.

You *are* correct that there seem to be different regional restrictions on color/config options.

There was one on the dealers lot when I purchased our Taco. It did have the receiver, but the tow package wasn't listed as being installed. The salesman said they just installed the receiver themselves.

I built some Tundras last week and got all kinds of crazy stuff like white not avaible in a CM OR but only color available in a DC. Choices were definitely limited to what was in regional inventory. When I changed zips everything changed.

    When I
When I built mine in Inferno, it let me select the P&T package, but when I went back in a week later, it wouldn't allow me to select it. A week after that, it allowed me to select it again. So the options do change...

If a person isn't smart enough to tell if they have a tow package, they probably shouldn't be pulling a trailer around.

For example, go to http://southeast.buyatoyota.com/Tacoma (SouthEast Toyota) and build a White OR 4x4 DCLB AT with P&T JBL and no Tow package then click on show inventory. None of the five units listed are a match.

I had the same experience with my DCSB white OR AT with P&T JBL plus Tow a few months back. No exact match inventory available or on the way.

Perhaps other regions build configurators work to exclude non-available configurations, but even if true elsewhere SET is a big enough chunk of the country I'd advise against the generalization.

I feel like the OP is asking a slightly different question. Just because you got a tow hitch doesn't mean you got the whole package. Does that make sense?

How do you know you have a bigger alternator instead of a standard one if you only have one truck. That's where the question is arising from.

I like people who want to know instead of trying to be ignorant. You gotta start learning somewhere.
