It's a trail road off of Swamp Wells road, there's a ton of awesome camping spots out here and up in the lakes!

I was able to back out a little and then forward only after filling in the rut my left rear slid into. It was about 30" deep. I didn't invite a buddy because it was supposed to be a quick trip up the hill. The recent rains really changed the road, and I didn't recognize it... Rookie mistake!

Took the fiancé out to see the desert flowers "super bloom" and Desert X art exhibits in Coachella Valley. Took the long way, made lots of stops and explored every chance we got. Had a great time.

Encinitas > Ramona > Julian > Anza Borrego > Ocotillo Wells OHV > Indio > Palm Springs > Pioneer Town > Joshua Tree > Twenty Nine Palms > Back home ...

It was a big weekend, and found some really fun trails while exploring along the way. Found a couple of super long, fun trails up in Joshua Tree and got to feel how the 6112's do at 45-50 mph. Very impressed, floated through the small - medium stuff and recovered from larger events nicely. Got some pretty good video. Will try and get a little edit together to share. Also, highly recommend checking out Desert X while it is still going on.

EDIT ... added little video edit:

I recognize those dirt roads. Did you do Berdoo canyon?

Thanks for the experience with the 6112

We went on an afternoon trip to a mine in the Old Dale Mining District. It was only a few miles off the highway but we exited one of the mines just before dark and then got lost going down the wash in the dark. Finally turned around and found our way back to the main road.

Looks like you had a lot of fun.

Just wanted to point out: I assume that Eric knows what he is doing, but for the rest of you, exploring abandoned mines (without the proper precautions) is VERY DANGEROUS and should not be attempted. :)

Thank you. Yes, we have the safety gear and we accept the risks of exploring abandoned mines. These mines survived the Landers Earthquake and have not collapsed then or since
