My old job called yesterday. They're having a dinner for all the ex employees tomorrow at the firehouse. Should be interesting. Some of them I kept in touch with, some I really don't miss at all.

A few people stuck around to mothball the plant. I guess it's officially "closed" now and the people who stayed were older guys who are retiring. It's a retirement dinner for them.

The day I left everybody was saying how we would all keep in touch, but I knew better. I've left jobs before, and after a few months you really don't hear from anyone. The only one's I'll keep in touch with are a few guys I play golf with.

It'll be at least a month around here before the courses are playable. Lots of snow this winter and now we're getting heavy rain. My gravel driveway is like quicksand.

 

anyone have any ideas how to fix a dislocated sternum?

usually rotating my arm back and having someone pull my arm usually resets the damn thing but this time its being stubborn
