I used a can of Rustoleum Universal Satin Black paint. Just cleaned the grille insert with alcohol pads to ensure no greasy spots. Took the outer chrome rim and Logo off and taped the rest and sprayed a couple coats. It's been 6 months and it's still like new!

That's satin? Boy it looks gloss! I think I know what I'm doing next week!

Yes, Satin. It's got a nice sheen to it but not as shiny as Glossy!

I did remove the entire Grille assembly from the truck before I removed the outer chrome rim and logo. Then just taped up with the insert still on the grille frame. No need to try and take it out with all those tabs. They are a bit fragile so the less you remove the better!

Here is why I put them in that location. The running boards protect the bottom panel. That spot right where they are...blocks my wifes rear door of her Camry from slamming into the truck when the grandkids jump in and out of the car while it's parked in our cramped downtown 2 car garage. Traded in my 16 with multiple dings....I will conquer! Ugly is fine.....just not a fan of dents. First I tried putting on 3m clear on the edge of her doors.....nope. Not enough protection. My FIRST thought was to tell her to park hers outside.....then I quickly rethought that one.

I'd get it sprayed body color if you are going to leave it where it is. At least then it looks like it came that way. Just a thought.

I was leary about drilling holes in the console but it worked out pretty well.

I know a lot of hate flows out for this.. but man I really like that more aggressive stance look. I fully intent to take a shot at this one I make it back to a country with options.

Hey, can anyone with a '17 confirm that the switch slot for the rear window is the short fat toyota switch?

The 2nd from the right switch pictured here.

For sure man. Not really my preferred look, but if you're happy with it, who cares! Those tires look meaty -- what width are they? What is your lift?

My man. How are you powering your winch? I'd love to be able to put mine on a switch, but apparently the switch-pro doesn't support it [It probably would if I ran it through a relay], so my next best idea was to put a switch/relay in placed with the button right where the power window button is.

Just not really looking to have it hot all the time.

I like all sorts of looks as long as its clean and classy. It'd be pretty boring in here without some variety.
i like the wide street queen look just as much as the aggressive off-road look. Wouldn't build mine that way but pretty to look at.

With the exception of the typical douche bro add ons...

Mine is wired directly to the battery. It is 100% wireless for the remote, so no real need to hook up any additional switches.
