I'm thinking of installing a small unit ..mostly for use on trips between Pa & Va...are they of any use as such for traffic/speed traps etc as they used to be during the big crazy period? Been a long time since I have had one.....

Too poor to list anything interesting.
    They're pretty common.

On trails, I use them to relay information to the group. On road trips, we find it easier to have conversations between each other which helps to break up the long drives. I also use it with my PA to holler at the fly ass honeys at the mall.

That's the exact one I have. I'd recommend changing out the bolt that connects the PA to the base. The one it came with rusted pretty quickly.

Preemptively posting this. Watch the positioning of the nylon spacer and make sure your mount is grounded properly.

Yupper understand the trail use ..Over the years have had a number of jeeps built strictly for off road & utilized CB's..sorry the question wasn't clear..I wondered if they are still used by over the road drivers and other travelers on the big 4 lanes...

Aaah, the cell phone of the 1970’s! That was how we communicated to each other. Great times! Do you use the same lingo as back then or has it changed?

I just took mine out, didn't use it as much as I thought and I have another mag-mount wilson to use if I want something on a road trip. I'm going to be selling what I have if anyone is interested
