Looking to find a working switchback bulb for the front blinkers and hope someone else has succeeded and can point me to where they purchased them.

So I pulled the front blinker and it's listed as a 4157na. The NA from what I have read stands for a dark amber. I called oracle and ordered the blinkers in a regular and a switchback and they said the 3157 and 4157 was the same. Long story short they come in and they both blow fuses or do not work properly (one function works bUT not both depending which way you flip it). So that night I go to other auto parts stores in town, try several other bulbs.. same result.

Has anyone replaced these in the newer model tacomas with success? If so I'd like to know where you ordered them.

I would be OK with the solid white, but would prefer the switchback. My inference is that it will take a 4157 specific bulb, not one that also works as a 3157.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need a "CK" type lamp--search the web for 4157 CK and you'll find them...

If, you are installing LED switchbacks (you didn't say), you will likely need to install resistors also, to avoid hyperflash.

I have the resistors already if I could get the dang LED's to work ( I am an oracle dealer, so if anyone on here needs any LEDs, HIDs, or anything else they sell I can get a pretty good deal)

    Cool...

Where did you get them, were the ballast resistors needed?
