    @Overkill07 A guy from a 2004 Tacoma (so 1st Gen) said regarding caliper bolts:

    One issue is I just figured out the bolts are M12 x 1.25 which is not a very common tap size.

    I'm trying to find out if these apply to 2nd Gens as well, but I suspect they do.

    the caliper bolts are 1.25 thread pitch ( From FAQ)

    Torque: 123 N·m (1,250 kgf·cm, 90 ft·lbf) (from FSM)

    Can probably get them from fastenal in that size, but not sure what grade Toyota uses from factory. I'd suspect something along the like of grade 10 at least for its shear strength.

    Honestly, we think the lift installers did. It was a bolt holding on the right front caliper and it was jacked up pretty good. He was gonna rethread it but we need to be sure what die to use.

    So now I have a bigger issue. The threads in the spindle are f'd! I cannot tighten the bottom bolt on the caliber :annoyed:

    How the fk are the threads in the spindle jacked up?! Do you think it can be re threaded? Also the lights flashing is from that front actuator not being on plugged in I bet. I don't think we Hooked the harness back up to the truck.

    Possible retap? If not drill a size or to up and put one of those double threaded inserts so when you tighten it the bolts won't make it spin. Essentially a bolt in a bolt kind of deal. The two plugs in the diff need to be plugged in and the vaccum hose also need to be plugged in to get the light off.

    The shop that installed the lift, cross-threaded the bolt. The new one just doesn't tighten down.

    Well, the plugs are in the rear diff, not sure about the front. I'll have to double check those but like Chris said, I don;t think we plugged it in. As far as the vacuum hose, that's not getting hooked back up. The nipple broke off upon the install at some point. :rolleyes:
    Right bolt, put both the old top one in and the new one to double check.
