Not if they have it to spend.....

If you read the story he didn't have it to spend. It wasn't even his. It was obtained through fraudulent financing in Europe and then illegally shipped to the US so they could not reposess it.

o and anyone who owns a hummer is an idiot, the mother company is trying to ditch the brand because it is about as successful as the titanic.

I don't intentionally race people either, but I can't help if my truck gets up to 30 or 45 after a red light faster than most other cars with very little effort.

It just seems normal to me to shift from 1st to 2nd around 5-10mph, and be doing 30-35 was I'm shifting to 3rd. I usually glance back and the people behind me are just passing under the light. Must seem like I'm drag racing, or they fell asleep.

But I have noticed a lot of people trying to race me or just driving like assholes since I got the truck (much more than with my car). I had one guy floor it catch me in a 45 zone just cuz I pulled out of a parking lot ahead of him with plenty of time. I ended up glancing down and see I was doing 60 with him trying to pass on the right just before the lane ended.... Then I see him hit brakes, slide a little on the gravel shoulder, and swerve into the left lane behind me. My wife was like "WTF was his problem?" She suddenly realized what I meant when I told her earlier that people drive like assholes around the truck.

A touron from NJ got pissed last night when he was doing 30 in a 45 and I passed him in the right lane (4 lane road). So we stop next to each other at the next light and he guns his POS Pontiac and takes off like a bat out of hell while I make a right turn. DUH. I can just see him saying to his kids "We really showed that redneck, didn't we?" (I'm from NJ). I don't just don't get it.

Yeah, it's not like I'm driving some tricked out Civic or other street racing-like car. Maybe people just think it's a truck and it's slow. I don't know. I've also had close calls on the highway with people that apparently didn't see me before trying to merge in my lane. Like I got the special order "invisi-paint". It's happened enough for me to want train horns to get the attention of those people. I never had problems like that with my Corolla half the size of the truck. Then again, I've hit more birds with the truck than the car so maybe it is hard to see....

Idk I think the Tacoma looks really good stock it has fender flares hood scoop (trd) so they do look agressive and to others I guess I could see how they mistake you for someone that wants to race. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's become a idiot magnet since they started driving a tacoma. The first week I got mine I was going to Wendy's and I was at a light and a red lifted dodge ram pulls up next to me with a dick drawn on the passenger window in the dirt him and his buddy keep stairing at me and revin their engine at me and I'll tell you what it took alot for me to not gun it and just turn into the parking lot.
