It just goes on the room key. It's almost like it's free for now. We'll see on Friday how many duckets I have left.

During the recovery last night, after the Jeep was up i kept letting line out without remembering that there was an end. 4.5 hours after being called out and only halfway through my dinner will do that.

But i figured i might as well wash off the line. Yuck!

But that's the 9th recovery it's been used for... When I'm bored i want to yank the winch out and change the gear oil. But that'll have to wait.

A good excuse to go wheeling as well. :burnrubber:

Ones like last night are more fun since they are more complicated... No trees to anchor to for an easy recovery.

If you've been on Hamlin Gulch Road (in the Yankee Hill area) there is a rocky section and then a widened trail area to the cliff side that at this point is loose sand. The trail is well off camber, and the sandy area is even more.

Jeep tried to go on the sandy area, ended up off the trail. If we were to pull it straight back it'll likely roll. Apparently before or after them, someone else in a pickup ended up off the trail, and went backwards down the cliff skidding down to a road below. Its a very steep slope, at least they were able to keep it straight. I got the pleasure of going up a ways, turning around to get in position, which then meant I got to back 500+ feet down the narrow/rocky trail in the dark after we were done.

    Hamlin Gulch.jpg

We tried to set a pull pal where the middle rig is, but it would not catch.

Two front lines kept it from rolling over while rear one pulled it back onto the trail. I was right side, connected to the little stock hook on the bumper (one of the reasons we wanted two on the front/side). Middle rig snatched off my bumper and back to the frame. Rear was attached to the hitch receiver.

@kashtyaatsi This thing uses 3 different sizes of shims, none of which were included with that "Master" install kit. I'll get some ordered up tomorrow. Not sure I'll get them this week. I'd also like to get my lift up this weekend.

This is the 1st Toyota differential I've seen with gear paint like this, my guess is that they are double checking them before they send them out. This one was set slightly deep, almost where I like to run mine. Don't think this one would have made noise.

It was that RT water canteen you found in his diff that was making the noise wasn't it? :D

I have some pics if it helps. Not quite the same year but they look pretty darn similar in the pic.

    Nice!
Slightly different locations, but that main line still runs straight across the radiator.
    Good to know.
Your beer can thingy is different on top too.
I wonder if your system is cheaper or the same to replace parts on.
