Make sure you get lots and lots of pictures. Every time you talk to someone, no matter who it is, get first and last name, note the date and time. Get their business card if you are meeting them face to face. Soon as you get off the phone or back to your truck, write down every detail of the conversation. Every penny you spend to get this fixed get a receipt. If this goes to small claims court you want it to be overwhelming in your favor. Keep your cool and be reasonable. Get on the phone and start calling around about your wheel. Call the mfg. explain the problem, maybe they have a large distributor that may have one. Find any recent pictures you have of the truck that may show there are no scratches. Start putting a notebook together to keep it organized. Again, remain calm but firm on how this can be resolved. And again, be reasonable, if the wheel is not available and they can repair it to good as new, that is reasonable. I have seen vintage racing wheels with chunks missing, repaired and you can't tell they were ever damaged. Wish you the best of luck with this. If this goes to small clams court, you will be glad you put in this effort.

Holy hell did they take a chisel to it?? They cant fix your hood, isnt that what autobody is for?? I hate why stupid people work on my car. I got a tire rotation and they stripped out 14 lugs and destroyed my wheel locks and studs. Thankfully I got them replaced for free. Good Luck with yours!! Stated above GIVE EM HELL

I would be so pissed, I would recommend mobil 1 oil with their synthetic filter. Also look at the fujimoto valve. http://www.quickoildrainvalve.com
It really makes for a easy quick and clean oil change. Synthetic oil runs awesome. Don't let anyone touch your truck ever again.

well the hood will for sure just need to take it in.

im really iff about the rim because im really worried about it starting to flake off over time because of what happened.

just pisses me off because they were like $850 for the 4, they no longer make them, and it was a total bitch to find some black chrome rims that i actually liked

well everything is fine now, they fixed my hood for free and as far as the wheel goes i just let it go it wasnt worth the battle.

my wheels are supposedly discontinued so they would have to re-chrome all 4 wheels and it just didnt seem like it would ever happen so i just let it go

I'm confused why is it Toyota's fault that the dealership damaged your truck?

    That sucks.
I had sort of the same experience with a motorcycle dealer. Brought bike in to have tires mounted. Monkey scratched my rims. Complained to manager and was basically told it was there when they got it unless I can prove otherwise.

Ever since then I take date stamped pictures of my vehicle before taking it in to a dealer for any work. I take pictures of all sides and more detailed shots of specific areas where I know they'll be working around. They fuck it up, I show them the pictures. Digital cameras are great!

ETA - Glad they fixed at least one of the problems.

I feel your pain... Trust Me! The majority of dealerships out there are crooks. Here is a link to how Toyota of Dallas screwed me.

My truck is still not fixed correctly, btw.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/78707-toyota-dallas-wrecked-my-tacoma.html

What sucks is that Toyota North America won't do a damn thing to these dealerships. At least with GM if you have a problem with the dealership they will step in and make things right. Toyota North America will basically tell you that you are SOL.
