Got CMC plates in hand, 2nd week of April this shits about to get real af!

 

Call me sane, but I could never cut into a two year old truck into order to fit bigger tires. To each their own. I also don't take my truck on weekend trips across MOAB so maybe that would change my opinion.

Mine only sees off road action from the Spring to Fall chasing Stripers and Drum up and down the beach.

 

Still may need fender trim. You have wheel spacers?

 

Don't doubt your stock truck as it sits! I'm more than impressed and surprised by what I was capable of at LBL!

The payment still suck D, but it's worth it.

 

CMC and the pinch weld....plus some plastic to trim. Pinch weld LOOKS like it won't rub, until it does. Then it's the tire slicer mod. Best get it out of the way BEFORE it becomes the pink elephant in the room. Just sayin'.

 

If your lifestyle fit the bill, the need was there, and the finances...lol, you'd cut the fuck out of shit....even if it is a 2 year old truck.


I thought it was nuts for a while, but quickly realized a lot of guys on here are building purpose built rigs that are ALSO daily drivers...and they make a whole hell of a lot more money than I do....lol.

There was easily over a mill doll hairs in the camp area at LBL spread across 30+ trucks and their mods.

 

No spacers with the new wheels, Only running em in the rear for now.

This is my plan! 255/85r16s. Probably Cooper ST Maxx. I was hesitant about the tall and skinny thing at first but I really like the look of them on Tacos, and I kind of like the fact that they're not as often seen on them either. There are too many benefits with this size to look elsewhere. The only downside I've seen / experienced was if you have to drive in ruts that are wider than your tires, you bounce between them a lot. It's more of an annoyance than anything, though, not a deal breaker.

 

Okay. Leave spacers off. Hopefully the wheel offset doesn't make them stick out too far.

You could just go full real deal prerunner and get a Desert Fab prerunner bumper and glass fenders!

Seriously! Every run on the beach I make, I bounce like a pinball back and forth from the full size ruts/tracks along the base of the dunes.

 

Paint of these things sucks anyways.

I get pretty good spray from just the offset the spindles gave me

Don't really drive offroad so I'm not too concerned with rock chips

I will eat a tater chip like a mo, tho.
