Yeah, i like working at Worldgate since i live in Ashburn, but my office will be moving back to Springfield near Ft. Belvoir in a couple months. Then we'll be relocating again in a year or two after that.

I do feel pigeon holed in my current position, I thought being a federal employee would allow for more movement within organizations, but so far that has not been the case.

 

you can physically make less $$$ in Colorado and have a better "lifestyle" if that makes sense....

I dont consider it speaking in code, I just dont enjoy elaborating on what I do for a living.... it simply breeds more questions.... since youre in a similar situation, I'm sure you can relate.

I work for Visa. Not sure if they want me to say that, but oh well. And no, I cant get you better rates on your credit card.

 

if the pay in CO is the same as here in Ashburn, you'll be just fine.

look in Parker CO / Highlands Ranch area, you can get a nice single family home for around that $500k - $600K area

 

Yeah, it does create some additional questions from nosy people. Either way, almost everybody that works up here has some role with the federal government that we're not at liberty to discuss any further beyond the fact that we work for the federal government.

 

I dont know where I want to live in CO. But for me, a single guy, I just want a minimum of 3 car garage (preferably an attached indoor RV garage), flat concrete driveway, and maybe a little land, and 1 level. Probably looking in the $350-$400k range

If i can manage to move out there I would be in and around the Lakewood, CO area. I've seen nicer places for less than what my place here is worth.

Agreed.... it was tough selling my house out there... single family home, big front / back yard, flat expansive driveway, 2 car garage.....

oh well.. it's all for the better career haha
