Toyota TRD Pro Challenge: Vietnam (Sat. 3/25)

So a few weeks ago when the movie Logan came out, I went and saw it. During the pre-preview previews that they show now (i.e. all the advertisements before the previews), a Toyota TRD commercial, movie, mini-movie??? caught my eye, and look somewhat interesting.

Anyway, after getting home and doing some searching, I really couldn't find any info. about it at all, which I thought was kind of weird, because I figured Toyota would be pressing the shit out of this thing.
Fast forward a couple weeks, and it crossed my mind again, so I just did a search there is seems to be a bit more info., in least in terms of the actual preview being released, and a release date. Couple movie websites say that it is going to be released on March 25. I can only find the preview on what looks like the production company's website; which is also kind of weird, because again you would think Toyota would have this all over their official Toyota YouTube page, and facebook and every other social media outlet, just to generated some pre-release hype.
Did a search on the forum and didn't really see any mention of it either, unless I'm just totally missing something.

Anyway, here's a link to the video. I'll consed it looks like a TRD Pro fan boy video/movie, but it also looks mildly entertaining. So is this coming out on YouTube, in a actual movie theater??? Anyone seen or heard about it? Why isn't Toyota all over this, plastered on their webpage and such? Just kind of intriguing... granted this is my first Toyota, so this might be something they do every couple of years for all I know, just to help promote sales???

Vietnam is an amazing country to travel to if you like the countryside. If I didn't have my wife in tow, I would have motorcycled up and down from saigon to hanoi.

The Top gear Vietnam special was hilarious too; they rode scooters from the Saigon all the way to Halong bay.

 

ahh...another video about my homeland where exhausted western media love to come in make entertaining stuff by ridicule the locals and customs while throwing around comments like how heavenly the landscape, no thanks to our talents. Kinda remind me of Jeremy Clarkson love to go the deep South and ridicule the hicks.

I was at Hidden Falls Adventure Park a few weeks back in the TX Hill Country. We usually camp as remote as we can in Area 51, about 1.5miles from the main camp sites. We managed to catch this production company along with Andy Bell and BJ Baldwin crawling up the creek bed behind our camp ground. Talked to them for a while and they told us they were shooting a commercial for Toyota. BJ was driving a crazy Tundra fully customized for pre-running.

I later talked to Andy at the top of the hill where everyone meets for sunset. He told me "nice truck" so I answered "the commercial worked!". He got a kick out of that so I got to meet the production team, they threw us some hats and told me "Wait until you see what we did in Vietnam!". Really nice group of guys. Looking forward to seeing the video.

I was thinking "damn, you are gonna run trucks in the river, get all sorts of oil and crap from under the frame into the river that people are drinking from 100 feet downstream, nice". It's like Andrew Zimmer Bizzare food, where to most of the world it's called "Food".

That taco sees to have LED headlights, looks very good, I wish it could be a factory option like on corolla. The white trd pro looks pretty awesome, really good looking truck. Mi-17 swing loads for the win!!!
