Yes the triangles will be there. They are there to lighten up the weight of the link instead of using a solid plate for the inner frame of the link. Triangles are strong and work with the inner gussets.

So then dirt and water can get into those hollow triangles on the side and accumulate. Like in this highly scientific illustration:

    IMG_4934.jpg

Or am I still not getting it? :anonymous:

It will explain itself as I keep building them. Your not getting it and I don't know how to explain it more. So just kick back and enjoy some popcorn.

So I made my first bottom plate and realized I screwed up bad. This link needs trimming on top and bottom. When I drew out the outer links I didn't subtract the thickness of the top plate and bottom plate. So now I have to do it all over. I can save some pieces but everything has to be remeasured. Hummm. Good thing this happened with 5.00 worth of foam board and not metal I already paid for.

My anti wobble uni ball has a 2 5/8" diameter total. Everything is suppose to stay within that size. Pic to see what I'm talking about.

I didn't mean it like that. It's just that I don't know how else to say the part of the link you see now won't be exposed. It will be sealed in a metal box.

    Awesome you got them!

I have them at 32" and 38" from the frame side. Its going to be different for you because I'm mounting 2" forward from center of rear axle.
