Jim is definitely right. I'm from Columbia, SC and never understood how great this place is until I moved here almost two years ago.

    Just some rain over here.

I wanted to put some blankets on my truck bc no way to get it into the garage...thanks a lot workbench and kayaks

So anyways...I took some blankets out there...and then realized...70mph winds this blanket ain't even gonna still be in this county after the storm...so i may have wrapped the cab of my truck with blankets and then put straps around the cab to hold them in place :anonymous:

Didn't worry about the camper shell or hood/fenders because meh those can be replaced pretty easy...but hail damage to the roof doesn't excite me

The storms, once adequate preps are made...are actually pretty awesome

Up in the foothills they're less severe I would imagine than down in the midlands (columbia)

In other news, this storm probably means I'm gonna be busy as shit next week at work

Hopefully the hail fizzled out before the storms reached the counties I work

If any one wants to know why I left SoCal- this is why.

Although very beautiful to visit- CA is expensive to live in.

I'm a fan of Thomas Creek Brewery, off of White Horse Rd in Greenville. They have some delicious year round stuff.. the Red Ale and Pilsner are especially good. My favorite is only available in summer.. they call it Stillwater Vanilla Cream Ale.

Theres also Brewery 85, Swamp Rabbit Brewery (which is right next to the Swamp Rabbit Trail if you like biking), and a few others.

The lower state guys have directed me towards Pluff Mud, by Holy City brewing (in Charleston I think). It's quite good also.

My 2 favorites are Frothy Beard in Charleston, Old Mill Brewpub in Lexington, and Aiken Brewing, but I've enjoyed beers from many of the others as well

@SixthSnail nearby is also Old Mecklenburg Brewery- in CLT.

Asheville (AVL) also has Dale's and Sierra Nevada east coast breweries/distribution- and many others!

Stone Brewing east coast center is up in Richmond, VA

Nearly every city has local brews and now some bourbons out here.

There's a nice valley in VA off the Blue Ridge Parkway (good views!) that is full of distilleries and breweries. Gonna have to get up there with @Bsheriff11 and check them out!

But the nicest :) Friends in Dallas and Denver. And I really want to hit moab.
Pshhh. You think I'm leaving the street? I heard there is a mall in greenville.

In all honesty, its a camping rig. SC looks very my speed with all the dirt trails. Excited to go on RTT escapades.

I camped way too much back in my mountain bike racing days. I have no desire to ever sleep in a tent again. :anonymous:

RTT is basically a house at this point. Got a memory foam mattress in it.

I can see it now... Ol' JB yelling "Get off my lawn" from his RTT. Old man.

I too now prefer camping over wheeling. It's a sign of adulting or getting old or something.

That is the goal. Girlfriend and I love it. Not crawling so much because I suck at it.
I'm an old 22 then. Mostly started because I can't afford to fix my truck if it broke badly.
