You don't want to remove the whole thing? I'm talking about the plastic liner, is that the one you zip tied up?

Just remove them and spray some fender liner, get the foam so that when some rocks hit your inner fender You don't hear them as much.

Nothing wrong with this! Same thing I did for a while. Just trim them and zip tie them up until you either get bigger tars and are forced to take them off or you get that snorkel installed.

Anything planned in here locally for the first weekend of April? I'll be down there again and wouldn't mind a little meet up. Its been a while since ive been to one. Preferably in dirt.

    Snorkel Questions
If your vehicle was parked outside during a rain would the water get down the snorkel and into the engine? I noticed a lot of snorkels have a forward facing input to let in air.... so when you hit a mud hole or water passing hard and liquid goes sky high would any of that get in and wreck the engine?

Damn, I was more looking for a day trip since time is at a premium. :annoyed:

Snorkels have small drain holes that are designed to let that type of water intrusion get out before entering the neck. That said, I have no data, aside from a dry air filter, to prove that they work. Considering they've been used longer then you've been alive, I think it's safe to assume they work as designed :p

    I've never had an issue.

Have you ever seen a snorkel on a trophy truck? They're not met for bombing around. They're for legit Overlanding. There's a supplemental ufo cap you should throw on in rainy conditions.
