You could always go with used stuff. Not as exciting maybe but it works all the same. My suspension is and always has been mostly used parts from other members. My old Billies came from a member (lasted around 35k miles in my care before I managed to kill them, they already had 25k when I got them), my Icons are used and up until I put them on the truck this last weekend were entirely unknown condition. I forget if I bought my Dakars new or not, but they weren't expensive at all. Now my new to me rear shocks that I have to build a crossmember for are the next priority so I can pull some leafs and finish lowering my truck to a more normal stance.

I wouldn't be against used parts. The issue is that I don't see them too often, and they are quick to go when they appear. And timing is hard. I can buy new at any point I have the funds. Used are much more NOW OR NEVER. But it definitely is nice knowing Kings can be rebuilt, so used aren't a big turn off or anything there.
As for springs. Well, I don't often have big weight in the back, so I don't want leafs made for hauling. Dakars are said to be a bit rough without weight. I am looking at All-Pro standards. My reading tells me they match the kind of ride I am looking for. I also considered a pair of Deavers on CL for $400 cuz damn that's good but I think they give too little lift so idk.

Regardless, suspension is well aways for me. I have time to figure it out 100%

Might want to have a look at General Spring, they are decently priced and can give you exactly what you want lift and stiffness wise.

Newer isn't always better am I right!?

Awesome dude thanks a lot, now my only question is where does the interval come from?

Also, on the topic of LBJ my driver side shows some signs of seepage. I know you can jack er up and give it a wiggle to check the play, but without doing that does that mean it should be changed out? Im just curious because I don't know the history of the vehicle and I don't have any evidence that they were ever changed so im a bit nervous since weve all heard the horror stories.

What's peace of mind worth to you? In all reality if they have never been done and you're over 100K they are due, they are a wear item and the wear is slowed by the grease trapped in there with it. When that grease goes away or becomes contaminated the amount they wear per mile just goes up.

Not the greatest video but good enough, just double check the torque specs in the FSM because I'm pretty sure this video has the wrong spec listed.

What we're the dimensions of the bolts you ordered? Going to do ball joints soon and want to replace the bolts as well.

Going OEM on the joints but I suppose I could just find these bolts from Lowe's or Home Depot much cheaper. Just as long as they are a high grade bolt correct?

Someone here shared this with me before I ordered. There are two different part numbers listed for each side. One was a couple dollars more expensive than the other. I ordered those and they came with bolts. part numbers below.

IMG_6466.PNG.jpg Since my last post I've gotten a 3 inch lift, dual mounted cb radio antennas, installed a loud speaker, and about to swap my cubes with a 20inch bar.
