My main issue is their bumpers seem to run heavier than their competitors. Rear bumper is 110lbs with no jerry can or tire carrier and 150lbs with an EMPTY tire carrier. So adding 200+lbs with a spare wheel and tire.

Yup. I'm not sure what the hell they're doing, but they're in league with the Road Armor.

I guess you'd have to get some heavy springs in the 4runner to be ready for it.

Im not even sure what my standard rear bumper weighs

BUT, I will be losing the factory tow package along with the bumper

So it may be close to an even swap

Yeah Dylan bought me the OME HD springs for Christmas and they're on now but I don't know if they would handle the extra weight well enough.

Plus, any gear/passengers you'd carry back there. Eesh.

Full dakar leaf pack. No AAL. Aluminum bumper. Sliders help against dents.

I don't carry passengers but apparently the plan is for me to carry the gear or tow our pop up because my Runner will handle it better than Dylan's 3rd gen. So I'm looking into my options.

Then don't worry about an AAL.

You don't tow and you don't have a topper. Standard rear steel is about the same weight as a stock bumper with hitch. Your truck would look like a goofy stink beetle.

    Right on, just sayin

The truck site dead money level front to back

If I put anything pack there/tow anything its going to be ass draggin

Does the OME AAL jack up the packs like a regular AAL would?

If you're going to tow a lot, maybe air bags?

"According to ARB, 15 mm. Reality is it brings the lift from 2.75 inch to above 3 inches in the rear and definately stiffens the ride of the truck, while adding to the capacity of the truck bed"

And I doubt you'd see much dragging with a Dakar.
