What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Yep, they are on there a bit tight, but they pull right off.

When I put on the new ones, they were a tad loose. I applied a bit of JB Weld on the inside of the knob and stuck it on. It holds tight now and I am able to pull it off it needed. The JB Weld didn't glue them together.

 

It's the volume looking knob mounted in the left blank. The controller box is mounted remotely (under the dash in my case). It's a pretty sweet product, and works sensationally. Another member turned me onto it.

Is there any risk breaking anything if you do it wrong? Then do the the new ones just push on? A little nervous about yanking something off my truck...

 

Put the old ones in a spot you can easily identify, like straight up in the 12 o'clock position. If you pull straight off you won't break anything.Fine the flat spot on the spindle and gently apply the new ones. Never force anything, that's when things break.

 

I think it used to be saltwater Taffy couldn't
Bring myself to taste it, at least it did not smell.
