yes, but it works for him. I stacked my coal nicely like that for my longer smokes. Seem to burn more uniformly with better control as well.

we've got a giant walk in freezer at work... doesn't smell too good in there though.

 

beyond fishy. dead turtle-ly, and dolphiny too haha. we had to do a full clean out when she went down last year. even a strong bleaching didn't knock down the smell.
