that is a part not designed for permanent install...methinks

looks like a piece of packaging material left over from something else

it's all flashed up, was never cleaned up. if it was a real part it
would have been cleaned up from that plastic flash

 

It does look like some kind of keeper. It seems these trucks have them all over the place for wiring, plugs, etc. I'm certainly not loosing any sleep over it. I had the grill off the other day, and this was found in the area. Thats why I bring it up.
