the cord is the only draw back, they are starting to make some good battery ones and if i buy a new one it will be battery. only for the ease of use and I dont have plugs all over the outside. so 100' cords can be a pain in the ass. if you have a small yard then electric is the way to go.

agreed. I just bought me a new leaf blower and a weed whacker. Both gas. Those fuckers will only last about 2 years. Hope my chainsaw lasts longer than that

I feel like electric is way more reliable. Pain in the ass with the cord tho.

Same with power tools. I like that battery charge you can hit the trail. But it sucks when those things take a crap on you. I prefer air or electric.

As long as you bought a quality chainsaw it will run fine for a long time. My dad had a little Sthil 017 for like 15 years until someone put straight gas in it and burned it up :anonymous:. I still say it's not my fault we always had one can that only was for mix gas and I grabbed it, filled up the saw and went to town on a tree that fell in our side yard. Found out after I killed the saw he filled the can with gas but forgot to put in the oil. He still try's to blame me for it:argue:

Thanks @T4RFTMFW for the Allet wallet recommendation. It fits so well in my back pocket, I have to keep checking to make sure it's there. I think @Iggy got one too.

I have the Ryobi set. Decent for the price. It works good for household tasks. I use the impact with a 1/4 adapter for a lot of small tasks on the truck, small bolts, screws, etc.

I would recommend the dewalt Jason posted for any real impact needs.
